A four-year degree is not much as a preparation for what’s to follow after college. Even with the theories and concepts at hand, there are days when you’ll come stumbling upon unmet expectations and frustrations. You can never prepare for everything. But be open to possibilities.

That I would tell my students if I were teaching by now, because this is what my distinguished professors forgot telling me and, perhaps, my batch mates and the graduates before us.
Fair enough, they don’t owe us this part. By now, I understand that college introduced us to the world and its social problems, including how our degree programs address them. The task of navigating through the world is left for us to figure out.
What lies after college is a question of what you want to become and how you wish to realize your dreams and pursuits.
Sometimes you don’t have to be ready for everything. Just take a step with your good values and appreciative yet critical eyes. And, as always, believe in what you are becoming. Just that, and you’ll survive.
